Confluence: how to play, rules, strategy and design notes
Build a chain where each step shares a link with the next. Here is how Confluence works, what makes the daily puzzle fair, and why it belongs in Wittora's collection of quick thinking games.
Confluence focuses on one readable core action: build a chain where each step shares a link with the next.
How Confluence works
- Confluence focuses on one readable core action: build a chain where each step shares a link with the next.
- It asks you to reason with facts, categories and clues rather than simply recall trivia on command.
- A new Confluence puzzle appears every day, and Infinite mode lets you keep practicing the same idea after the daily round.
Rules
- Start from the visible board or clue set and make a move that follows the core knowledge puzzle logic.
- Use the feedback on the screen to narrow the remaining possibilities.
- Win by completing the board, answer, order or hidden target. In Daily mode your result is recorded once; in Infinite mode you can keep experimenting.
Data and puzzle logic
Datasets are compact, curated and deterministic, with clues written to avoid needing a login, feed or live API at play time.
Lore and naming
Confluence is named like a small artifact from the Wittora shelf: compact, memorable and a little mysterious. The lore is intentionally light. The game should feel like a clever object you pick up for a few minutes, solve, share and put back glowing.
Where the idea comes from
It connects quiz culture with newspaper logic, turning facts into a puzzle board instead of a speed contest.
